On Zero
There’s fear on the
wind tonight
It’s a feeling that fires the will to survive
Who will I be tonight
The answer is coming on zero
I listened to my
father
I sat beside the throne
No matter what befalls us
We must protect our own
Now you may hear the women crying
Out on the killing fields
Stand fast, embrace your brothers
You time may be near
Out there inside the
trenches
The cold can grip your heart
Waiting those final minutes
The countdown soon to start
I believe I’m a man of conscience
And I will reap what I have sewn
Before god, no one’s beside us
We stand alone
One soldier fights
for freedom
Another for his land
Each prays that god’s beside him
In this, his final stand
